or rather here we don't go again. No posts this week, not even a Thursday !3 - so what's going on?

No, that is exactly what is not going on. The dratted thing is still not working properly. I'm writing this during one of its occasional bouts of good behaviour, whether I will actually get to finish the post is a moot point. So far no one has been able to discover or prevent the problem.
My curser seems to have taken on a life of its own. It positions itself, with no help from anyone else, where ever it happens to feel like. At other times it simply disappears and the machine locks up. That means I have to reboot, loosing what ever I was working on previously.
Great fun, especially when I have two essays to complete by Monday.
